Julie told me she was working on a book about kids exploring an abandoned house. My friends and I did just that when we were kids. I told her, “I’m in.”
For much of this book I used an Andy Warhol technique of drawing with ink on vellum, then pressing it wet into watercolor paper to get an uneven “blobby” line.
